Antoinette Inspiration

antoinetteinspiration2

I first blogged about these photos on my Livejournal in 2005. I remember falling into love with them instantly at the time. When I stumbled upon them today in a forgotten folder saved on my computer; it was like love at first sight all over again. I love the colors, the details, the birds -- just everything about them.

This photographs were taken by Bernard Tartinville - unfortunately that is the only information I have on them. If anyone knows who the models are please let me know and I'll be sure to add them to the post.

Wishing For Wednesdays: Sunny Breakfast

sunnysideup

Despite it being well into Fall, it is still quite sunny and hot here in California. Sadly, it's not quite hot cocoa and sweaters for us yet. But, I'm sure that will change in a few weeks, so to play homage to some of the last few days of sunny weather, I've put together some sunny items perfect for a kitchen or a front porch dining room.

A really cool Boiled and Peeled Print made from an original watercolor and ink painting done by Owen Sherwood and Emma Copley of Tomato Can Studio. Last but not a least, is a little yellow Magnetic Timer via Anthropologie].

Setting the Table

Setting the Table

Think about adding a few potted orange trees for a pop of orange and finish off the lighting with some glass votives. Need menu ideas? A pot roast with roasted vegetables and potatoes would work great for this setting.

A Luella Halloween

luellahalloween

I recently stumbled across the above Halloween inspired section of the Fall 2008 RTW line designed by Luella. I especially like the mix of colored tights, and thought this would make great inspiration for those of you who would rather not come up with a costume for Halloween, but still wanted to stay festive and fun.

As a side note, anyone notice the previous winner of Australia's Next Top Model, Alice Burdeu, in two of the four photo's above? Probably the most successful model to come out of the Next Top Model franchise thus far.

Soft and Romantic

RTW Spring 2009 Luisa Beccari

Love Luisa Beccaria's Spring 2009 RTW collection. Soft, ethereal, romantic.

Halloween Theme: Hitchcock Lady

Halloween Theme: Hitchcock Lady

An alternative to the mainstay orange and black of Halloween Decor, I've pulled together some ideas for a Hitchcock inspired Halloween. I've tried to mix things up by using a rich blue, black and white palette. Black Tulips would be a great option for flowers.
